Susan Ryan is a licensed architect in the State of New Jersey. She received her B. Architecture from Kent State University and a M.S. Historic Preservation from Columbia University. Susan first worked in private architectural practice for historic preservation/restoration/adaptive reuse firms located in New York, Cleveland and Philadelphia. She then shifted to project management at institutions, first at Burlington County College (now RCBC). She’s currently Historic Architect for approximately 1000 buildings within the Rutgers University portfolio. In this role she interfaces with the Camden HPC, the Newark LHPC and the NJ HPO. Alongside her professional career, Susan has put her historic preservation training and experience to use as a volunteer. She was a commissioner on the Mount Holly HPC, where she served as ViceChair. She also volunteered with Main Street Mount Holly on the Design Committee. Susan has served on the Cranbury HPC since 2016, with three terms as Chair.
