Stephanie Hoagland

Stephanie M. Hoagland is a Principal and Senior Architectural Conservator with Jablonski Building Conservation Inc. in New York City where she has been employed since 2003. She has been extensively involved in the preservation of graffiti including presentations for the American Institute for Conservation (AIC), the Association for Preservation Technology (APT), and Drayton Hall. She’s written an article for the National Trust for Historic Preservation; organized a workshop entitled “Graffiti Management in a changing world: should it stay or should it go” for APT; been a guest editor for a special graffiti based issue of the APT Journal, and has written a Practice Point for APT on establishing guidelines to determine the significance of graffiti. She has also been involved in the conservation of sailor graffiti on the USS Intrepid; Civil War-era graffiti at Historic Blenheim in Fairfax, VA; and prisoner graffiti at the Burlington County Prison Museum, NJ.
